How to Export Your Historical Transaction Data with NCR Silver

Soon we will be limiting support for historical transaction data. While you will not be able to instantly view receipt and ticket detail, you can continue generating sales and activity reports for current and past years the same as you do today.  

NCR Corporation launched NCR Silver back in 2012 as a way to help customers more easily run their small businesses and measure their results. Since then, our customer base has grown rapidly, and even better reports have been created to accommodate heavily-requested features, from store summary to product trends.

To maximize efficiency, we will be limiting support for historical transaction data only over the coming weeks. Our team will be archiving receipts older than 13 months – most of which are never accessed — and Customer Care will keep a backup of this POS data on your account.

While you will no longer be able to view ticket detail for these older transactions in your Back Office POS Transaction viewer, you can continue generating reports for current and past years the same as you do today. All sales and activity reports will remain and all existing data will still be available – it is not being deleted.

Customer Care will be keeping a backup of all of your receipts older than 13 months in case you need it, and our team can be reached 24/7/365 via phone, email, text or back office chat. We’ve recently installed a new state-of-the-art phone system to reduce wait times and better redirect calls to get issues resolved faster. So don’t hesitate to reach out!

How to export historical data

Starting April 23, 2018, we will begin archiving transaction-level, ticket detail. All aggregate sales reporting totals, customer contact information, loyalty rewards and other reports will remain the same.

If you need to have this information readily available for tax purposes (or any other reason), we recommend you export all of your historical ticket detail annually so you can view it at your convenience. Here are the steps:

1.            Go to mystore.ncrsilver.com
2.            Select “Results” in the top navigation
3.            Select “POS Transactions”
4.            Use the date field to adjust the timeframe
5.            Select “Export Tickets” in the top right corner
